  the (almost) pacificism of the jws was one of the things that attracted me to the witnesses when young.

  i wondered today, when i read this headline:.

  I was in the military myself until I studied with JWs, then I left. Their position on neutrality attracted me and was one of the reasons I became a JW. But oh how disappointed I was and disgusted when I found out about the UN NGO association, and I have read reports that the Watchtower own a significant amount of shares in a company manufacturing the drive for a drone used in warfare.
  

  
  The JW doctrine led me to believe the Catholics are misguided and under the influence of Satan, how misleading this was. Certainly I am now convinced the Catholic religion is more Christian than JWs. Consider shunning, blood issue, deliberate misleading of its members, lying to its members, etc,; the list is considerable.

  my wife has recently become very curious about my activity on my ipad.

  i delete my browsing history but if she should discover this site and my identity here, she will gladly hand me over to the hangman, something i have managed to avoid for quite some time now,.

  i hit the "sign out" button, but i find that i'm still logged in!

  stillin I think you are in a dysfunctional relationship.
  

  That is hard, because I am in such a relationship right now, and all because of the bOrg.

  My wife use to use my iPad, so I bought her a tablet (as has been suggested), now she leaves mine alone, there is no reason for her to use mine.

  of course, most of us realize this.

  however sometimes even on this board sometimes threads have stated that the jw elders have been occasionally painted as the " fall guys " who take the rap for the wt society leaders - which of course is true - to a degree.

  however- that being said , many times elders have failed to protect - or even have failed to advocate for child abuse victims when it has been within their power to do so.

  They have Stockholm Syndrome

  That is a very good point you make, and I remember with my own experience I thought of ways and excuses to believe the WT leadership for a long time, but the child abuse was just too much for me. As has already been mentioned in another thread the publicity for such things is just scarce, especially here in Germany, and to be honest I only heard about child abuse within the bOrg at the end of last year.

  I talked quite extensively to a brother about the child sex abuse within the organization of JWs and how under the direction of the GB this is all kept quite.

  His opinion; if the GB says that these things should be kept quite and the abusers are protected, then they must have a reason, therefore it is OK with him.
  

  Needless to say this is not a person I want to associate with.

  Why don't people in the US, UK or Euro-Citizens know anything about Jehovah's Witness Pedophile Issues and lawsuits?

  i know you all are aware of how little knowledge people have about jehovah's witnesses and topics men like bob bowen and women like barbara anderson tried to raise the level of public awareness that "the jehovah witness coming to your door might be a pedophile or child molester!

  " what's gone wrong, has the society outsmarted the media or do people not really care what happens to young children?

  if you took a survey trying to ascertain how many people walking through the grocery store, a target or upper class stores nordstroms, your going to be shocked how little people know.. if it's about the catholic church, those numbers shot through the ceiling, is this because there is no problem in the new world watchtower order or their better at damage control?

  The JW's are an insignificant, minor, cult religion that simply does not come on to people's Radar.

  I agree wholeheartedly with this statement. A couple of weeks ago I had a conversation with someone who was quite knowledgeable about the press and their interaction with politicians, and basically neither politicians or the press are interested in JWs, they are simply too insignificant. I am in Germany BTW.
